A solo trip to Palm Springs

About 300 kilometers of round-trip and five hours at (almost) the top of San Jacinto Peak.. I would not say it's an entertainment package.. But the ride to the top of the mountain in rotating Aerial Tramway( world's largest, they say) is thrilling.. and the view of Coachella Valley and I-10 freeway from a height of about 8500 ft above sea level is quite unique experience.. Birds' chirping and singing amidst roar of chilly wind add some special effect to it! Overall.. "Quantum of solace to an uneventful soul...!"

Horseshoe Bend And Lower Antilope

Horseshoe Bend! We visited this on the second day of our "Long Weekend Tour" during Thanks Giving holiday. We had planned to watch sunrise from this magnificent Horseshoe Bend.

That day, we woke up and got ready by 6:30 AM and headed towards Horseshoe Bend; about 4 miles away from the hotel we were staying.

I had planned to click some "awesome" pictures of sunrise. But, little did I know that at 30 degree F combined with incessant breeze it was difficult even take my hands out from my jacket!

Nevertheless, I managed to click some shots with my amateur-looking framing!

Later, as per the pan, we rushed to Lower Antilope Canyon - to get tickets for "Ken's Guided Tour". We reached there on time and got the tickets. Once we got into the canyon, as always, I went on clicking pictures, wondering how did mother nature manage to carve such an amazing 'structure'!
